Ella

Ella is a dog who was rescued in 2019 from a backyard breeder. When she was taken in by Friends of Rescue (FOR) she was in a dreadful state: rotten teeth, infected ears and eyes as well as being severely underweight. It was clear she’d been bred from many times and at just 6 years old her body was worn out.

Personal and changing circumstances for Ella’s adopters have recently led to her being back with the FOR team. Ella’s ears, teeth and skin require extensive treatment again. She has also gained significant weight which may be due to the medication she has required, and this is now being addressed.

A Schnauzerfest Grant is supporting Ella’s veterinary costs and when she is ready FOR will be finding her an exceptional home with new adopters.

SEPTEMBER 2021

Ella’s treatment has all been successful and she has been signed off by the vet team. The really good news for her is that her fosterer cannot let her go and she is staying in the happy home she’s found with them. She is a very much loved member of the family and has a secure and safe future ahead of her.
