Celeste and Lois are both dogs who have been used in the breeding industry but who are now safely getting on with their new lives. Having been taken in and cared for in their foster homes, thanks to Friends of Animals Wales Rescue, they’ll soon be adopted.
Both dogs required spaying - this is always a positive day in the life of a breeding dog, never again will their fertility be the only reason they are of importance to anyone. From the day they are rescued, they become individuals who will be loved, cared for and allowed to thrive, not just survive.
As is common to dogs coming out of breeding facilities, Lois required an extensive dental, her mouth was rotten and she was suffering. Neglect of the basic needs and health of dogs characterises the breeding industry.
The resilience of dogs to recover and heal emotionally as well as physically is always inspiring, and Lois and Celeste are both gentle souls who will now be able to live the lives they should always have had. Thanks to their rescue, and support from everyone who helps Schnauzerfest provide financial assistance to rescues.
AUGUST 2022
After waiting quite a little while for her new family to find her, we’re delighted to say that Lois now has a wonderful life living by the sea.
