Iris, Sweetpea and Fflur, 3-4 year old female schnauzers arrived with 12 puppies into the care of Friends of Animals Wales. All dogs require veterinary care, on the case of the adults, they’ll be spayed and will most likely receive dental care, all ready to prepare them for their new homes. Their lives from hereon will be all about them, not the puppies, nor the money they produce for anyone.
The 12 puppies are a mix of schnauzers and schnauzer crosses aged 8-12 weeks. All appear to be healthy, although a little underweight with some ear mites affecting some of them. All puppies will be given everything needed to prepare them for their adoption.
That adult female dogs were given into rescue alongwith puppies, may be a sign that the poorly regulated, full of criminality and exploitative puppy breeding industry might be losing some of its momentum and profitability. In the meantime however, the rescues working to help the dogs face tremendous pressures. When asked to assist with the financial costs of a large intake of dogs, we can only agree because of your incredible generosity and support.
