When Ruth read about Rosie and her puppies, she was moved to do something to raise funds and awareness for the charity. She has signed up to do a Wingwalk at the end of July in the beautiful southwest of England.
This will be a unique and thrilling experience, and for some would be absolutely terrifying! Ruth tells us why she’s decided to do her wingwalk for Schnauzerfest,
“I've always wanted to do one and now seems as good a time as any. There are lots of dogs requiring help but what hit home was Rosie in the wonderful care of her foster home. When she had her puppies they understandably became the centre of attention, well they are cute. But, for me, it was important to remember that Rosie shouldn't have been having pups. And that her past litters were not in such salubrious, caring conditions. And where did all her previous pups go? Sold into a trade where the mums and dads are often forgotten about.”
Ruth is generously self-funding the wingwalk so all moeny she raises will help Schnauzerfest. We wish her all the very best, and thank Ruth for her courage and commitment and cannot wait to see her photos!
