Genny, or to use the fullest most beautiful name her rescue have graced her with, Genevieve, is a dog who has survived and now thankfully left, the breeding industry. Life in a puppy farm is hard for all dogs and it has been for Genny.
She’ll receive all the medical care she needs to prepare her for the healthiest life possible when she’s adopted. A Schnauzerfest Grant to cover these costs is in place, easing some of the financial demands on Friends of Animals Wales that caring for ex-breeding dogs brings. When dogs are neglected for years, as Genny has been, it takes a hard toll on their physical and emotional health.
AUGUST 2022
After receiving all the veterinary treatment she needed to get her well and fit to be adopted and head off to a happy new life, Genny did just that!
She now lives with Parker and a family with the time and patience she needs to heal from her breeding life. She will find Parker the best friend and guide for this and it was clear when they first met how special their companionship will be.
Her veterinary treatment included a major dental with multiple extractions, a spay, vaccinations, ECG and infection treatment. A Schnauzerfest Grant assisted her rescue, Friends of Animals Wales with all costs, a total of around £1200. It is your support which allows Schnauzerfest as a charity to support others in this way.
