In 2020 Shaun was going to run the London Marathon for Schnauzerfest. Then COVID struck!
Shaun’s training was all going very well, he was assisted by 14 year old Fern who kept him motivated and supplied with recovery cuddles.
With Brighton and Eastbourne Half Marathons under his belt by early March Shaun then got the news that the London Marathon was being postponed as Britain entered its first lockdown.
The positives were more time to train, fundraise and pick up some medals.
Training continued through the year and in October Shaun ran the virtual London Marathon - 6.5 laps of his local area, supported by Fittleworth Flyers in atrociously wet conditions.
How much was raised?
An incredible £1045!
Plans for 2021
Sadly Fern died in February 2021 aged 15. Shaun will be running the London Marathon this year, for Schnauzerfest, in her memory.
