Paddy

When 9 year old Paddy’s owner contacted us for help it was obvious that circumstances were difficult, complicated and upsetting for all involved. She had made the difficult decision with her family, that Paddy’s best future was not with them.

Paddy, relaxing on his first day in his new home

We knew just the right people who would love to share their home and life with Paddy and after several weeks of getting everything in place, we were delighted for Paddy when he joined his new family. He has a future ahead of him rich in daily walks in beautiful locations, including wide sandy beaches within easy reach. The first visit to the beach resulted in abundant excitement and happiness.

He took no time at all settling in with Claire and Mark and was overjoyed when they came to collect him from a recent makeover at the groomers.

There are a few little things that need working on with Paddy, but all of this is to be expected and nothing at all that won’t be overcome together. He is a loving, older dog who has been given a wonderful new chance to flourish and embrace everything life has to offer him.

Paddy’s successful new life is the result of many months of patience from his adopters who resisted the option to buy a puppy when they lost their previous dog. Opting instead to wait for their new companion to come along. We are pleased to have been able to help Paddy, Claire and Mark find each other.

We are not a rehoming charity in the usual sense. But where it is appropriate and possible for us to do so, with the help and support of experienced and knowledgeable organisations and people, we will work with individuals seeking to rehome and adopt.
