Winnie and Zoe

Winnie and Zoe lived in poor conditions before they had the better fortune to be taken in by Miniature Schnauzer Rescue Ireland. They had been used for breeding and it’s likely the conditions were typical of many low welfare breeding facilities.

Both dogs required spaying, dental work and treatment for ear infections. Both had to have their spays delayed for several weeks as they came into season shortly after their arrival in rescue. In Zoe’s case it proved to be third time lucky for her spay operation which finally went ahead at the end of September. MRSI is a volunteer, foster based rescue and both dogs have been lovingly cared for in foster homes.

Like many rescues at the current time, MRSI is under great pressure with increasing numbers of dogs requiring their help. With the assistance of a Schnauzerfest Grant to cover the costs of Willow and Zoe’s veterinary treatment, at least some of the financial pressure on this small, dedicated rescue can be eased.

Both dogs have wonderful homes all lined up and ready to go to as soon as they’re medically signed off.

Thank you so much for your help and relieving the stress of two surgery bills at the same time. It has taken an enormous worry off of our shoulders.
