One month, lots of walks, lots of media interest

We’re always extremely grateful when supporters are prepared to talk to their local press and media about the charity. Why they support the work we do and how they fundraise. We’re half way through our big month of walks, raising awareness and funds and are delighted that there have been several media opportunities to get the word out to a wider than ever audience. This really helps the dogs and we’re very, very thankful.

Mark for many years has organised a walk in October as part of Streatham Festival and last Sunday spoke to ITV London about Schnauzerfest and puppy farming.

Isobel travelled rom Derbyshire to attend the Calke Abbey Walk, organised by Leicestershire Schnauzers. She spoke to BBC Radio Derby about how the charity has helped her dog Carlo. He received all the veterinary treatment needed to live well and happily with her after being rescued from the breeding industry.

The Calke Abbey walk also featured in Derbyshire Live print and online editions.

Dawlish Warren in Devon will be host to it’s October walk on Sunday and organiser Lynda has been speaking with her local press about Schnauzerfest and why she fundraises.

If you spot anything in the news, let us know, we’re always very happy to share on our social media and love seeing what everyone is making happen.

Thanks to Sharon for this gorgeous photo taken during the Bury St Edmund’s walk on Sunday
